Veneers

We specialize in veneer dental care. Therefore, veneers are an excellent option if you do not like the appearance of your teeth. Reasons may be due to discoloration, size, shape, or spaces between your front teeth. Veneers are thin shells made from porcelain that bond to your teeth. Most importantly, we create the ideal shape and shade that you desire.

Advantages of Veneers

Unlike common beliefs, veneers require minimal shaving or no alteration to your natural teeth. Therefore, this makes it a straightforward and comfortable procedure. In addition, since the alteration to your teeth is minimal to none, it will correct anything you dislike about the appearance of your teeth. This is especially important for front teeth veneers, for which you can choose a brighter white and perfect shape without weakening your front teeth.

Same-Day Veneers

Our dental studio offers the CEREC same-day crown technology, so you can get your veneers put in the very same day.

Your Veneer Procedure with Us

We keep alterations to the tooth to an absolute minimum. First, a scanned impression of the tooth and the opposing teeth will be taken. We will use our state-of-the-art CAD/CAM digital scanner for this. The scanner provides a 3-D model of the tooth, which will be used to create the veneer. In most cases, the beautiful, high-quality veneers are milled at our dental studio. Sometimes, however, we need to send it to a local specialized lab to fabricate the veneer. In-house, they are ready in less than two hours, making the procedure very easy and convenient. On the other hand, if your veneers need to be fabricated at the lab, you will wear very esthetic and natural-looking temporary veneers for about two weeks. If you don’t require a full mouth of veneers, the permanent veneers will closely match the shape and color shades of your natural teeth. As a result, they will seamlessly blend in with the rest of your teeth.

Reasons to Get Veneers

First and foremost, veneers are great options for fixing chipped or fractured teeth. Additionally, you can get them to close bothersome gaps and spacings between teeth. Also, veneers can fix worn-out or short teeth. Furthermore, they are great for correcting stained or discolored teeth, which happens over time. Unfortunately, the most common ways your teeth get discolored are smoking or drinking coffee, tea, or red wine. Overall, veneers are a very conservative treatment option. As a result, they are the ideal choice to correct cosmetic dental issues without weakening the teeth.

Veneers Expiration Date

You will enjoy your veneers for years or even decades with the proper veneer dental care. Please note, our veneers consist of only the highest-quality, stain-resistant, durable materials. Our production process ensures a perfect fit and complete, tight seal upon cementation. Once you have received your permanent veneers, good oral hygiene is important. Additionally, regular veneer dental care appointments provide a long life with your new veneers. Plus, we recommend you wear a dental guard if you grind your teeth or play contact sports.

Veneers Cost Information

The cost of dental veneers depends upon several factors. First, these include your esthetic goals, the type of veneers you choose, and the number of veneers needed. Second, you may require other procedures to get the best result, such as gum contouring around the teeth in the area. After your thorough exam with Dr. Shahrokh, he will discuss the treatment options available to you for the ideal cosmetic result you are looking for. If you have dental insurance, our office staff will assist you in determining your insurance benefits. Rest assured, we will help you to utilize your insurance benefits to reduce your out-of-pocket expenses.

Alternatives to Dental Veneers

Overall, dental veneers are a conservative treatment option to correct specific cosmetic dental issues with teeth. For example, a badly damaged tooth may require a full porcelain cover or ceramic crown. Also, if there is severe crowding or spacing between the teeth, Invisalign treatment may be your best and most conservative option.

One Versus Multiple Veneers

You may get one or multiple veneers, depending on your aesthetic goals and cosmetic dental concerns. A single veneer usually corrects a discoloration, a fracture, or a chip on one front tooth. Sometimes, however, in cases of misaligned, spaced, or multiple discolored or disfigured teeth you may need multiple veneers. Dr. Shahrokh is available to discuss all your concerns and wishes and all the available treatment options during your first visit.

When It is Time to Replace Your Veneers

Over time, you may not be satisfied with the shade or the shape of your existing veneers anymore. At that point, it may be time to replace them. Also, the veneers may feel loose, or you are sensitive to hot, cold, or pressure. These may be signs of dental decay under the veneer requiring a replacement. In addition, soreness, infection, or increased gum sensitivity around the veneer are signs of replacement.

Shaving of the Teeth for Veneers

Most importantly, veneers require minimal to no tooth modification. When we prepare a tooth for veneers, only about 0.5 mm of the tooth surface is removed to make room for the veneer.

Requirement of Temporary Veneers

Fortunately, our dental studio offers the latest technology in same-day crowns and veneers. Therefore, you won't need temporary veneers. However, if we send the veneer to the laboratory, we will use a temporary resin veneer. A temporary veneer won't leave you with an unmatched, obvious temporary front tooth cover. With Dr. Shahrokh's aesthetic expertise and close attention to the smallest detail, your temporary veneer will look natural and match the adjacent teeth in shape and color.
