Since our dental studio offers the CEREC same-day crown technology, you have the option of getting your veneers popped on the very same day.
Your Veneer Procedure with Us
We keep alterations to the tooth to an absolute minimum. First, a scanned impression of the tooth and the opposing teeth will be taken using our state-of-the-art CAD/CAM digital scanner. The scanner provides a 3-D model of the tooth, which will be used to either make a veneer at our office or to be sent to a local specialized veneer lab to fabricate the veneer. Beautiful, high-quality veneers can be milled at our dental studio and be ready in less than two hours, making the procedure very easy and convenient. If your veneers need to be fabricated at the lab, you will wear very esthetic and natural-looking temporary veneers for about two weeks.
If you don’t require a full mouth of veneers, the permanent veneers will closely match the shape and color shades of your natural teeth, thus making them seamlessly blend in with the rest of them.
You will enjoy your veneers for years or even decades if done well and properly cared for. Our veneers consist of only the highest-quality, stain-resistant, durable materials. After receiving your permanent veneers, good oral hygiene and regular cleaning appointments provide long life with your new veneers.
Reasons to Get Veneers
Veneers are great options for fixing teeth that are chipped or fractured.
You can get them to close bothersome gaps and spacings between teeth.
Veneers can fix worn-out or short teeth.
They are also great for correcting stained or discolored teeth, which happens over time due to smoking, drinking coffee, tea, or red wine.
Veneers are a very conservative treatment option, thus making them an ideal choice to correct cosmetic dental issues without weakening the teeth.
Veneers Expiration Date
You will enjoy your veneers for years or even decades if done well and properly cared for. Our veneers consist of only the highest-quality, stain-resistant, durable materials. Our production process ensures a perfect fit and complete, tight seal upon cementation. After receiving your permanent veneers, good oral hygiene and regular cleaning appointments provide long life with your new veneers. Wearing a dental guard is recommended if you grind your teeth or play contact sports.
Veneers Cost Information
The cost of dental veneers depends upon several factors, including your esthetic goals, the type of veneers you choose, and the number of veneers needed.
In addition, you may require additional procedures to get the best result, such as gum contouring around the teeth in the area. After your thorough exam with Dr. Shahrokh, he will discuss the treatment options available to you for the ideal cosmetic result you are looking for.
If you have dental insurance, our office staff will be more than happy to help you determine your insurance benefits and utilize them to reduce your costs.
Alternatives to Dental Veneers
Dental veneers are a conservative treatment option to correct specific cosmetic dental issues with teeth. For example, if a tooth is badly damaged, it may require a full porcelain cover or ceramic crown. Also, if there is severe crowding or spacing between the teeth, Invisalign treatment may be your best and most conservative option.
One Versus Multiple Veneers
You may get one or multiple veneers, depending on your aesthetic goals and cosmetic dental concerns. A single veneer usually corrects a discoloration, a fracture, or a chip on one front tooth. Sometimes, however, multiple veneers may be required in cases of misaligned, spaced, or multiple discolored or disfigured teeth. Dr. Shahrokh will be available to discuss all your concerns and wishes and all the available treatment options during your first visit.
When It is Time to Replace Your Veneers
If you are unsatisfied with the shade or the shape of your existing veneers, it is time to replace them. If the veneers feel loose, or you are sensitive to hot, cold, or pressure, it may be a sign of dental decay under the veneer requiring a replacement. Also, soreness, infection, or increased gum sensitivity around the veneer are signs of replacement.
Shaving of the Teeth for Veneers
Veneers require minimal to no tooth modification. If a tooth needs to be prepared for veneers, only about 0.5 mm of the tooth surface is removed to make room for the veneer.
Requirement of Temporary Veneers
Fortunately, we offer the latest technology in same-day crowns and veneers at our dental studio; thus, you won't need temporary veneers. However, if the veneer needs to be sent to the laboratory, a temporary resin veneer will be used. A temporary veneer won't leave you with an unmatched, obvious temporary front tooth cover. With Dr. Shahrokh's aesthetic expertise and close attention to the smallest detail, your temporary veneer will look natural and match the adjacent teeth in shape and color.
